Team 4
To get started, each one of you should pick a new theme--not one of the ones that you chose as a class--and connect your NEW theme to one work of art of your choice. It doesn't have to be in your textbook. IMPORTANT: use the "comment" function below this post so that you create a thread for your group.

i think color contrast would be interesting. explore pieces that have a subject which evokes different emotions than the color palette suggest.
ReplyDeleteI think it could be interesting to create an exhibition centered around the "visual history" of a city. There are multiple possibilities, London has been painted by MANY artists (Canaletto, Monet, Turner, ect.). We could even trace the history of the city from Renaissance painting through the evolution of modern photography.
ReplyDeletethat would be really interesting. Sounds good to me. We can do a lot with it and there will be plenty of sources available for research. :D
ReplyDeletefor people who couldn't be there today we decided to go with a visual history of London. We have 7 pieces we think may work and ideas for the layout of our room ( the center gallery on the left side of the museum). if you want to see the pieces let me know.
ReplyDeleteThat sounds good to me!
